Kundalini Yoga

I teach Kundalini Yoga – one of the most ancient forms of yoga and one in which we focus on the power of the pause, the breath, the science, the hormones, the stretches and making everyone feel as welcome as possible regardless of religion, body size or ability.

It follows my 200 hours training in classic Kundalini Yoga (that which opens and closes the classes with simple but mindblowingly centering and grounding chants) with the Karam Kriya International School, as well as 200 hours in Kundalini Global with Carolyn Cowan – a radically inclusive new form of Kundalini yoga, that is based around lots of the same traditional Kundalini yoga sequences and breathwork, but which doesn’t open and close with the traditional chants and is very much focused on the science, the vagus nerve and breathwork.  You can find out more detailed information about Kundalini Yoga in the FAQ section

I will be writing more about it in my blog over the next few months, but there are lots of different ways we can look at kundalini energy.  Creative potential, dormant energy,  chi. In traditional kundalini by yoga bhajan and similar to a lot of hindu teachings, Kundalini Energy is said to be the “Creative Potential” of a human being.

My regular classes are:

10am Saturday Morning – 1 hour Classic Kundalini Yoga (included as part of the Secret Breath + Stretch Society membership or £8 per class – you first class is free)

8.30pm Tuesday evening – 30 minute Calming Breath + Stretch (known fondly by many of those who come to the class as ‘Pranayama in Pyjamas :@) based on Kundalini Global. Some weeks are switched with a live inperson soundbath or breathwork session xx

Private 1:1 sessions are also available.
